Pendleton

Products from Pendleton Woolen Mills have been produced in Pendleton, Oregon, for more than 100 years and have a long history with the American Indian people.

In the company’s early days, Native American tribes supplied designs for Pendleton’s legendary blankets, which were bartered for items of value like silver or wool. As an important cultural tradition, the heirloom blankets are used in ceremonies, as artwork, or given as special gifts to commemorate births, deaths, and other major events.

Today Pendleton continues to consult with Native Americans to design patterns inspired by American Indian legends, religion, lifestyles, and ceremonies. These designs are used in their growing collection of high-quality wool products, including totes, wallets, day planners, and camp blankets.
