We love the holidays, getting all the decorations out, making each display reflect some holiday cheer, and rejoicing in visiting with family and friends. This month there are a lot of special events and we are ready!
You just want to yell "Let's get ready to rumble" but that may be a bit much for a kids tournament. Prairie Edge and the Sioux Trading Post are proud sponsors of the Lakota Nation Invitational. This year is their 38th year of top notch basketball, volleyball, track, hand games, knowledge bowl, poetry slam, art show and Lakota Language bowl. A personal favorite is the art show, art created by children who are unsullied by adult interference in their creative endeavors is always good.
We are offering a special 10% discount (on your whole purchase and not just one item) to anyone who brings in their ticket stub from LNI, there are some exceptions but everything is worth asking about.
So if you are around from December 17th - 20th you may want to stop by the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center for the competitions and then bring in that ticket stub to get a discount on your purchase.
New from Prairie Edge:
Every floor is filled with great holiday gift giving ideas and here are a few inspirations;
This very famous style of trade blanket has made an impression all around the world and remains one of those "must have" products for any Native American lifestyle. But it's not just blankets, we also carry shirts, vests, towels, purses, wallets, billfolds and mugs. Let us know if you would like to see images of these items.
This year, our Fine Art Gallery director collected original artwork from local and regional artists. These special pieces sell for $200.00 and under which helps to make gift giving a little easier on the pocketbook. E-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in seeing images of these new pieces or stop by and visit our gallery upstairs to view in person.
Book and Music Store:
Known for the most fabulous selection of craft supplies, they also carry beadwork from local and regional craft workers. These pieces are small in size but big in design and techniques.
Another year comes to end and we are thankful for all the support, kind words and good visits. Take care friends and family and we'll talk soon.
