Native American Hand Made Beaded Moccasins w. Lizard Design
Availability: In stock
Native American artist Virgil Poafpybitty (Kiowa Tribe, Oklahoma) beaded these stunning moccasins with a Lizard design, lizards are messengers and can bring good or bad news.
Virgil uses tooling leather for the soles and commercially tanned deer leather for the upper part of the moccasins. There is a tie at the ankle to help secure the moccasins on.
He beads the designs onto the deer leather and sews the tooling leather and deer leather together. The glass beadwork does not quite reach to the edge of the deer leather.
To finish the decoration of this pair of moccasins, Virgil stuffs the inside with South Dakota man sage.
